James Martins Food - Simplicity

9 master classes for less than the price of a bag of sugar...

Version 2.0 has been written from scratch incorporating new features and a dramatic performance increase.

With Simplicity, the focus is on the food and only the food. No talking - just great cooking from James, beautiful filming and amazing music. We have chosen to concentrate on quality rather than quantity when it comes to the recipes we include. There are lots of other great Apps out there that provide the reverse.

Simplicity is first in a series of “mini-Apps” from James Martin’s Food. By re-inventing the way recipes are published and used by you, thanks to the iOS platform, we have found a way of making the experience significantly more enjoyable - and with great end results.

With over 80 minutes of film split between 9 subjects, the attention is on the detail in as close to real time as possible and sensible. No point staring at an oven for 45 minutes.

Each of the films has been cinematically graded using lighting shifts to draw your eyes to the important details as they arise without being noticeable. The music we have chosen is from the Paris based Gotan Project with guest tracks from Mind Food, specifically to match the mood and atmosphere of each of the recipes.

Our aim is to give you as rich and enjoyable experience as we can, for the lowest price we can.

Pros and cons of James Martin's Food - Simplicity - HD Video Recipes for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch app for iPhone and iPad

James Martin's Food - Simplicity - HD Video Recipes for iPad, iPhone & iPod Touch app good for

The key to this apps success is the simple videos with no chatter. Quick prep and simple techniques, for a result "foodies" and chefs will appreciate.... The short video, accompanied by temperate music and timely written instructions is inspiring!!! Please create a series ... Great food shouldnt be a challenge..Thank you, Simply satisfied.
I am not a lover of cooking but I appreciate and enjoy excellent food. This app is beautiful, mesmerizing and elegant in its simplicity. The presentation of the ingredients and steps is easy to follow. Ive never seen anything in cooking apps to compare and setting the demonstrations to music is brilliant.

Some bad moments

Every time try to preview video, the app jump out. Totally rubbish!
I really like the complete overhaul of the app. The "Fried Salmon and the Halibut filets are fantastic and since Im partial to glazed carrots, by opinion is very bias!:*) The Caesar Salad is on my radar as well (rosemary croutons sound tasty)!!! That being said, Id like to have several more recipes to choose from and then theres the music -- its OK but it gets a little uumm, wearing after awhile besides Id prefer to actually have James giving instructions...like other chefs talking through the steps. Maybe the music could play softly in the background while James talks through the recipe as he prepares it (the best of both worlds). I dont know if anyone is experiencing this bit of weirdness but the app is showing TWO DIFFERENT icons: on my phone its the old icon, the S in the yoke of the egg but in the App Store and on my iTunes, is the new icon, the phote of James Martin...crazy!!
takes forever to download.>>>>>>>>>>!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its been a half hour and ists like half way done not even !!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I cant speak for the past versions of this app, but the present 2.0 version is smashing. The app is easy to use. The videos are smooth. I had no problems with any of the videos. The music is great. I will probably buy the albums. The recipes are simple to follow, but impressive. I highly recommend this app.
Up to point and very simple. Looking forward to new hd recipes.
